    Proceedings Meulaboh International Conference on Islamic Studies (MICONIS) Has published Volume 1 Number 1 November 2024, from the results of research by researchers, lecturers and students from various countries related to the theme of Islamic Studies: The Challenge of Digitalization 5.0. 

    The 1st Meulaboh International Conference on Islamic Studies (MICONIS) of the Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh State Islamic College was held on Tuesday-Wednesday, September 24-25, 2024. This conference was held offline and online by presenting speakers from abroad, nationally and Aceh. Speakers from the national presented the Keynote Speaker, Prof. Dr. H. Abu Rokhmad, M.Ag, Director General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. Meanwhile, from other university academics, Prof. Dr. Zaenuddin Hudi Prasojo, MA (Director of Postgraduate IAIN Pontianak, East Kalimantan) was presented. The foreign resource persons involved the Head of the Yayasan Sekolah Menengah Atas – Maahad As Syakhsiah Tahfiz Sains (SMA-MATSA), Penang, Malaysia. Meanwhile, from Thailand, presented an academic from Pattani, Thailand, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Omar Chapakia (Vice Chancellor I of Fatoni University). And from Turkey presented Asst. Prof. Murat Yas (Marmara University, Turkey). Meanwhile, academics from UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, represented by Anton Widiyanto, Ph.D, and speakers from STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh by Hj. Zikriati, Ph.D and Dr. Suharman, M.Si.

    Proceedings of the Meulaboh International Conference on Islamic Studies (MICONIS) Volume 2, 2025 presents selected papers resulting from research conducted by scholars, lecturers, and students from various countries. This volume reflects contemporary discourses in Islamic studies, particularly focusing on education, law, civilization, social transformation, and the development of Islamic thought in the context of Southeast Asia and the digital era. The papers published in this volume were presented at the Meulaboh International Conference on Islamic Studies (MICONIS) held in 2025 by the State Islamic College (STAIN) Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format, providing a forum for academic exchange among national and international scholars.

    Distinguished speakers contributing to this volume include Prof. Dr. H. Syamsuar, M.Ag (STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh) and Prof. Dr. Martin Kustati, M.Pd (UIN Imam Bonjol Padang), alongside international academics such as Math Alpy, Ph.D (Cand) from Cambodia; Phan Thanh Huyen, M.A., Ph.D (Cand) from Vietnam; Dr. Cecep Soleh Kurniawan, Ph.D (Cand) from Brunei Darussalam; Prof. Madya Dr. Rahimah Embong from Malaysia; Dr. Adha Shaleh from Singapore; and Marhamah, M.A., Ph.D from Indonesia. This proceeding aims to contribute to the enrichment of Islamic studies scholarship by fostering interdisciplinary perspectives and strengthening academic collaboration across countries. It is expected to serve as a valuable reference for researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners concerned with the development of Islamic knowledge and its relevance to contemporary global challenges.
